About You 😀

  • 6+ years of experience in advertising or branding
  • Creative and out-of-the-box writer who comes up with better descriptions than “out-of-the-box”
  • Writes sparkly copy, adhering to brand voice and tone standards (which you’ll love for this particular client)
  • Top-notch writing and concepting skills, in formats including positioning statements, taglines, brand naming, social media, web copy, video scripts, and brand manifestos
  • Experience meeting deadlines while juggling multiple projects
  • Not shy about sharing your opinion with your team and clients (without being a jerk)

About This Role 📝

The senior copywriter will report to Suzan Clarke, a VP and editorial director (and a very smart human). You’ll be part of a team of editors, writers, strategists, designers, and account people tapped to work with one of the most influential companies in tech. You’ll support a wide range of creative projects from ideation to execution. 

In this role, you’ll be working closely with clients, ideating and pitching creative concepts, and executing across a wide range of creative projects. A little charisma in the room will be super helpful for this role. 

Please note that we don’t do a lot of traditional ad campaigns. You’ll build your book here with super strategic work for a big buzzy brand, but if you’re looking to win a bunch of awards, this miiiight not be the right role for you. 

 

What You’ll Be Doing 🧩

  • Leading creative ideation processes across Strategy, Editorial, and Design
  • Developing high-quality creative across a range of formats
  • Collaborating with colleagues in Design, Account, and Strategy
  • Honing your inner anthropologist to become an expert on your client’s audience
  • Pitching on-trend (and ahead-of-the-trend!) creative ideas
  • Pitching ideas and campaigns, both internally and externally
  • Responding with a GIF when it says so much more than words
  • Over-sharing pictures of your pet and/or unpopular opinions about the latest show/movie/album

For this role, we’re looking to pay $100K-$120K, depending on experience.
